Moving the Mission Forward
December 5, 2018
We would like to thank all who joined us for our Moving the Mission Forward Networking Breakfast. More than 140 people were in attendance to welcome Tonya Harris as the new Executive Director of the RICADV.
RICADV Board President Janet Marcantonio, SOAR member Damaris Roman, and former RICADV Executive Director Deborah DeBare (pictured above from left to right) graciously welcomed Tonya during a short speaking program.
"When we look back at how much has changed since we were founded in 1979 – in our legislation, in holding abusers accountable, and in people’s attitudes towards domestic violence – the collective impact of the people in this room and the people who came before us is clear, it’s powerful, and it’s not finished!" —Janet Marcantonio, RICADV Board President
"I know how important a peaceful, loving home and community are for men, women, and children alike, and for that reason, I am humbled and grateful to be part of the movement to end domestic violence . . . Everyone deserves to feel safe and loved, and I look forward to working with all of you to create a world where this is possible!"—Tonya Harris, RICADV Executive Director
