The RICADV and our member agencies remain determined to support victims and survivors throughout this period of social distancing and isolation. We have gathered updates from each of our member agencies to inform you about services available throughout the state. These statuses are being updated regularly, and we encourage you to check social media and member agencies' websites for any changes. As always, the confidential Rhode Island Victims of Crime Helpline (1-800-494-8100) is available 24/7. A 24-hour chat line is also available through the RICADV and Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center websites.To chat with an advocate, click the box that says "WE'RE HERE TO HELP" to the right of your screen.

- Staff members are back in the office and following all COVID safety precaution recommendations. Masks are worn any time a staff member leaves their desk and social distancing is implemented. All common areas are wiped down frequently with antibacterial cleaner.
- Our domestic violence survivor support groups are offered weekly to the community and are held in a confidential location. Both English and Spanish support groups are available, which are free and confidential. - Our community services are back to operating fully and in-person, following all COVID safety precaution recommendations.
- Our residential services are operating fully and following DOH recommended COVID-19 safe practices.
- Our court advocacy program provides assistance to victims of domestic violence with district court cases and restraining orders. Our advocates are working in-person and are available at the Garrahy Judicial Complex to provide support and empower survivors of domestic violence. Dividers have been set up for the safety of survivors and staff.
- The toll-free statewide Helpline and chat feature is available 24/7 throughout the pandemic. The number is 1-800-494-8100, and a chat feature is available on our website. To chat with an advocate, click the box that says, "WE'RE HERE TO HELP" to the right of your screen.
- Helplines: The DVRCSC helpline is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at 401-782-3990. The confidential 24/7 statewide Helpline is available by calling 1-800-494-8100.
- Staff members are available by email and phone.

- The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center continues offering services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- We are offering services such as safety planning, court advocacy, law enforcement advocacy, case management, counseling and support groups. We have expanded our services to include classes in financial literacy and case management.
- The Community Center is now open. COVID-19 precaution guidelines are strictly followed. Masks must be worn inside the building at all times.
- We have expanded our services to include assistance with basic needs. Please call our hotline at 401-738-1700 for more information.
- We have expanded our shelter services. Please call our hotline at 401-738-1700 if you are in need of emergency shelter assistance.
- We now provide free clinical counseling for children who witness.
- Our court office is operating in Noel Judicial Complex (Kent County courthouse) for those who need help with emergency domestic matters, including filing for a temporary restraining order. We recommend calling beforehand to ensure you're going to the right location, as jurisdictions vary by city throughout the state. Our domestic violence and sexual assault counseling services may be scheduled in person at our center. We are also offering both domestic violence and sexual assault support groups via Zoom, as well as phone counseling sessions.

Women's Resource Center
Serving: Barrington, Warren, Bristol, Little Compton, Tiverton, Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport and Jamestown.
- Staff is communicating at this time via phone, text and video to continue to deliver core services and meet client needs.
- We are holding phone and video conference meetings with managers, case workers, support staff, team members and board members to keep the lines of communication open and manage our operations.
- Our website and social media platforms have the support and hotline phone numbers prominently displayed and communicated, and direct anyone in danger to call 911.
- We are working with law enforcement and social services in our area to ensure our referral phone numbers and other ways to contact our key staff members are known.
- We are monitoring the wellbeing of families living in our shelters to ensure their counseling and support needs are being met.
Our Newport office has resumed in-person services. Procedures are as follows:
- Advocates are available 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
- We ask all drop-in and restraining order clients to call first to schedule an appointment so staff is able conduct a health screening prior to entering the office. Same day appointments are likely available. All appointments will be 45 minutes long to allow time afterward to clean and disinfect areas.
- Our waiting areas are not open at this time. We require all visitors to wear face masks and utilize our hand sanitizer before entering the building. An advocate will direct you to our meeting room where there is a plexiglass shield for your safety.
- If you do not feel comfortable entering the office, we have advocates available for resources, support and safety planning over the phone. Additionally, our advocates can assist with filling out restraining order paperwork over the phone.

Center for Southeast Asians
Center for Southeast Asians (CSEA) is currently open to the community by appointment only. To schedule an appointment with our staff, please call 401-274-8811 and/or our 24-hour line at 401-871-5633.
To assist our community during the COVID-19 crisis, CSEA is offering an array of services. These include:
- WeR1: A joining effort to help undocumented Rhode Islanders get $400 gift cards. Funds for this project are being raised through private donations and currently total over $1.5 million.
- Restore RI: In partnership with Commerce RI, this initiative assists small businesses in applying for emergency/loss of revenue grants, up to $15,000.
- "Be Safe Plus" food boxes: We are assisting more than 350 clients over 60 years old through delivery of food, personal protective equipment and household necessities.
Due to the challenging circumstances facing our community, we cannot predict the timeline when we will fully operate. We will wait and monitor the decision from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the governor's office, and the R.I. Department of Health. Our community's health and wellbeing is our utmost priority.

The Domestic Violence Program offers comprehensive, trauma-informed services including:
- Emergency shelter
- Rapid re-housing
- Healthy relationships support
- Children's Enrichment Program to individual families
- Community case management services provided via telephone and in person
- All staff have returned to the office full-time.
We will continue to deliver core services. All three of our offices at 134 Thurbers Avenue, 55 Hope Street and 9 Pleasant Street (Providence) will stay open; our four 24/7 facilities for abused children will remain open. Our AIDS Project Rhode Island program continues to provide services for clients living with HIV, including utilizing telehealth options; however, the R.I. Department of Health has asked us to suspend HIV/Hep C testing at this time.
The AYUDAME/HELP ME Domestic Violence Program continues to operate during the coronavirus pandemic. The program provides comprehensive, bilingual, bicultural and trauma-informed direct services and education to Latinx victims of domestic violence, particularly newly arrived immigrants with limited English proficiency.
These services are as follows:
- Legal advocacy: Staff will accompany clients to court. Please call 401-365-4010.
- Case management: Staff will assist clients by phone at 401-365-4010.
- Current clients may request home delivery of food from the Progreso Latino food pantry by calling 401-365-4010.
- Immigration: The Immigration Department is available by phone at 401-375-5975, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Education: Staff provide information on safety planning and domestic violence. Please call 401-365-4010.
- Financial literacy: Staff provide bilingual education and assistance with budgeting, opening bank accounts and improving credit scores for survivors of domestic violence. Please call 401-400-0357.
- Clinical services: Our clinicians are providing remote counseling to existing clients.

Additional services available to the community:
- We now have a confidential line clients and potential clients can use to contact Sojourner House via text if they are in a non-emergency situation and need resources or support. That number is: 401-214-7882.
- We have expanded the hours we are answering our Sojourner House agency hotline to 24/7. That number is: 401-765-3232.
- We continue to have limited rental assistance funds available, which are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking. Inquiries for assistance should be directed to our housing office: 401-808-6889.
- We are accepting additional intakes for adults or children who need counseling services. Requests should be directed to our Drop-In Center line: 401-765-3232.
- We brought on two new housing advocates. We are working to get clients who qualify for rapid rehousing or permanent supportive housing into these programs.

- School-Based Advocacy: For any middle/high school-aged student who has witnessed or experienced abuse. Services include advocacy, support groups and expressive arts. Currently, the Tri-County Community Action Agency Elder, Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing program is in operation with all advocates working and all contact numbers the same.
