In addition to the complex dynamics of domestic violence, being an immigrant and/or the lack of immigration status can result in other barriers to leaving abusive relationships. Culture, immigration status and language can present challenges for victims. This training will provide an overview of some of the challenges faced by immigrant victims of domestic violence, recommendations when serving these victims, and an overview of immigration services and protections available to them.
