With your help, we've made great strides in the movement to end domestic violence in Rhode Island. We now invite you to stand with us, our task force of domestic violence survivors (SOAR - Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships), and six member agencies (Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center, Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County, Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, Sojourner House, Women's Center of RI, Women's Resource Center) on March 11 as we let local leaders KNOW that we must all come together to prevent domestic violence.
Future generations need us to do the work involved in creating healthy communities that are free of violence. Our children have a right to a peaceful world where the threat of domestic violence no longer exists. Building this future is our responsibility and can be our legacy.
So please join us as we propel our movement forward on this special day. Let our collective presence send the message that the statewide domestic violence community is strong and committed to this issue. NO MORE. Together we can prevent and end domestic violence.

Experts from the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be available to help Spanish-speaking viewers
Providence - Telemundo Providence, in collaboration with the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will be hosting a Línea de Ayuda on Tuesday, October 23rd. This on-air call to action and helpline provides Hispanic viewers with information and resources about this important issue.
Experts from the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be joining the WRIW Telemundo team to bring viewers, and those in need, the opportunity to reach out for support. All calls received will remain confidential.
"Domestic violence is a community problem. That is why Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the No More/No Más campaign call for community involvement to end domestic violence," said Deborah DeBare, executive director of the organization. "We are pleased to have the support of Telemundo Providence, whose Línea de Ayuda plays a vital role in reaching diverse households."
This Línea de Ayuda takes place during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. "Despite considerable progress in reducing domestic violence, an average of three women in the United States loses their lives every day as a result of these unconscionable acts," declared the official proclamation from the White House earlier this month.
Watch Telemundo Providence on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 4pm to 6pm, and call the number on the screen to talk in Spanish with a representative of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
